ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a professional oil painter and father of 5 living in Eugene, Oregon.  In my work I primarily explore dark subject matter ranging from fun monsters to darker representations of the human condition.  After a lifetime of doodling in my spare time I decided to pursue creating art seriously in 2012, starting with acrylic painting and graphite work before moving on to oil paintings in late 2013.  I have been fortunate enough to connect with many amazing artists in the dark art culture and have had amazing opportunities in the short amount of time I have been working as an artist.  I have shown with Hyaena Gallery, The Dark Art Emporium, Hamilton Gallery, Hive Gallery, Evergreen Tattoo Invitational, several local events, and have been involved in great projects like The Dark Art Tarot, have illustrated album art and the cover for Hindered Souls Horror Anthology.  I am very grateful for those who have shown me support and for those who have given me many opportunities along the way.  I strive to be a great artist and will continue trying to progress my skills and my vision.  I humbly thank everyone who has supported my journey as an artist and a special thanks to my wife and fellow artist Gina Armijo for her continued support of this pursuit.
